IPEC completed a project to provide a Pharmaceutical customer several systems for a new vaccine production facility in Brazil. Our scope included design and fabrication of a combined Purified Water (PW) and Water for Injection (WFI) Storage & Distribution System and a Clean-In-Place (CIP) System.
The PW/WFI Storage & Distribution System features (2) 20,000L storage vessels with a platform to access components and instruments mounted above the tanks. The purified water loop includes ozone injection, monitoring and destruction as well as duplex distribution pumps, a cooling heat exchanger, loop back pressure control, and TOC monitoring. WFI distribution includes similar features with heat exchangers used in place of ozone sanitization, to control/supply water to hot and ambient distribution loops
The CIP skid includes wash and rinse vessels fed by the PW/WFI system. Acid and caustic chemical dosing skids are included to support the cleaning process.
This project required efforts beyond those typically needed for similar systems due to the install location. Our team worked closely with the customer and other integrators to complete design, fabrication, automation, and translation services necessary for successful implementation.
